Abstract

"Nutrient requirements of dairy animals vary with the stage of lactation and gestation. Early lactation; Peak DM intake (declining milk production); Mid and late lactation; Dry period and Transition are the five different phases with different requirements to attain optimum production, reproduction and health of dairy cows."
